Senior Business Developer

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Developer to join our dynamic team. As the Business Developer, you will be instrumental in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. Your ability to identify and pursue business opportunities, foster strong client relationships, and effectively communicate the value of our solutions will be key to our success.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, software sales, or account management, preferably in the RegTech, FinTech, or Financial Services industry.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify new market opportunities and adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial services is a distinct advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Growth: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve and surpass sales targets and drive revenue growth. Identify new markets, industries, and customer segments to expand our market presence.
  • Lead Generation: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and generate leads. Utilise various channels such as networking events, social media, cold-calling, digital & traditional marketing, and referrals to build a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Client Acquisition: Engage with prospective clients to understand their compliance needs and pain points. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our RegTech solutions and services, demonstrating how they address specific client challenges.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their evolving requirements and provide continuous support
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Collaborate with strategic partners, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and technology providers to explore partnership opportunities and leverage synergies for mutual growth.
  • Sales Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and work closely with the legal team to finalise agreements and close deals.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments to identify market opportunities and ensure our offerings remain relevant and competitive.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, activity reports, and forecasts. Present regular updates to the management team, highlighting progress toward sales goals.
  • Sales Strategy and Campaigns: Develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns to promote our RegTech solutions, leveraging digital marketing and targeted outreach.
  • Assist us to ensure that the azakaw culture and brand are strong, understood and trusted by our colleagues and our clients.
  • Support the business to attract, train and retain best in market team to support our clients, growth and global presence.
