Regulated businesses are under increasing pressure to make faster, more precise decisions without compromising their compliance standards. This month’s azakaw product updates focus on strengthening that balance: greater automation where it matters, deeper transparency where it counts, and full visibility across every step of the customer journey.

In this edition, we introduce three major enhancements now live across the platform. These updates improve operational speed, accuracy, and audit readiness for teams managing onboarding, monitoring, and customer lifecycle activities.

1. Multi-Approver Configuration and Risk-Based Auto-Approval

Risk-aligned decision-making is now more flexible and precise with azakaw’s enhanced Risk-Based Approval Engine. This upgrade allows organisations to design approval paths that mirror their internal governance structures, removing unnecessary manual steps while ensuring that higher-risk cases receive the attention they require.

What it delivers

Organisations can now configure approvals based on customer risk level, enabling:

Automated approvals for low-risk customers when no screening hits are detected. This reduces bottlenecks and allows compliance teams to focus on complex cases rather than routine reviews.

 • Configurable reviewer routing, ensuring medium-risk profiles go directly to a designated officer such as Officer A.

 • Multi-layer approval pathways for high-risk customers, requiring two or more officers (for example, Officer A and Officer B) to review the profile before activation.

 • Full flexibility, allowing approval paths to be shaped around existing risk policies and internal structures.

How it works

For each risk category, administrators can define:

• Whether a customer should be auto-approved.

 • Which officer or officers must review the case.

 • How many approval steps are required.

 • Conditional logic driven by screening outcomes.

Once the system generates the customer’s CRA score and screening results, the correct workflow is triggered automatically, ensuring seamless alignment between risk category and approval actions.

Why it matters

This enhancement brings both operational efficiency and strong governance:

Faster decisions for low-risk customers.

 • Stronger scrutiny for high-risk profiles.

 • Consistent application of policy with no room for manual deviation.

 • Audit-ready approvals, with every action fully tracked and documented.

2. Live Data Source Updates for PEP, Sanctions and Adverse Media

Compliance teams rely on timely information. Our new Live Data Sources Monitor provides full transparency into every update received from our Sigma global data providers, ensuring screening decisions are always based on the latest available intelligence.

What it delivers

The azakaw dashboard now shows:

• A dedicated panel indicating the exact timestamp of each PEP, Sanctions and Adverse Media list update.

 • Real-time confirmation that screening is operating on current data.

 • Increased confidence during audits, regulatory reviews and customer file validation.

 • A single, centralised view of new sanctions, PEP changes or adverse media updates as they occur.

How it works

Whenever Sigma updates any of its global sources, including:

• Sanctions lists

 • Politically Exposed Persons databases

 • Adverse media feeds

the azakaw dashboard immediately displays the update time. Compliance officers can verify in seconds that their screening results are supported by the most current global data.

Why it matters

Real-time visibility reduces regulatory risk, strengthens internal assurance and ensures screening decisions are always backed by live intelligence. No assumptions, no uncertainty, no delays.

3. Customer Activity Stream

Understanding the full picture of a customer’s journey is essential for compliance, support and relationship management teams. The new Customer Activity Stream brings these details together in a real-time, chronological timeline.

What it delivers

The Activity Stream provides:

• A unified timeline capturing every key customer event.

 • Instant visibility into login attempts, credential issuance, onboarding progress and document updates.

 • Faster case resolution, with teams able to reference the exact sequence of actions taken by the customer.

 • A consistent, automated and immutable audit trail.

 • Secure access controls to protect sensitive behavioural data.

How it works

The system automatically logs all major interactions, including:

• Credentials issued, passwords set, OTP sent or verified, and any failed or successful login attempts.

 • Onboarding progress, reminders, document resubmissions and additional information requests.

 • Security events such as account lockouts or password resets.

Officers can filter the timeline by event type, such as security or onboarding, and sort by date to quickly locate specific activities.

Why it matters

The Customer Activity Stream removes guesswork. Teams gain a complete view of the customer lifecycle, enabling proactive compliance checks and faster operational responses.

In Summary

This month’s releases further solidify azakaw’s position as a performance-first compliance platform. By combining deeper automation, real-time intelligence and enhanced visibility, we continue to help regulated firms operate faster, safer and more transparently.
